Who are we and what are we about?
Our smart meter programme is the hardware backbone of that innovation. Octopus Energy Services is a sister company building a field force of engineers and support staff to install these meters. It is a crucial arm (tentacle?) of the business. We are looking for a highly organised individual to support the on-boarding process of new engineers and day-to-day running of the field operations department.
You will be helping ensure our engineers have the appropriate level of training, qualifications and people skills to enable them to deliver the outrageous level of customer experience we expect. You will be organised, cool-headed and interested in learning about the inner workings of a field force business. This is a broad and diverse role which will present plenty of interesting challenges for the right person.
Is it you we are looking for?
We are looking for somebody with awesome people skills and a keen eye for detail. The role will be broad and varied and will develop, with the following key responsibilities:
• On-boarding of new engineers including co-ordination of company inductions
• Scheduling training and upskilling for our engineers
• Assisting with HR-related tasks (recruitment, absence management)
• Assisting with Fleet management (scheduling of servicing & repairs)
• Co-ordinating and assisting in the review and roll out of company policies e.g H&S
• Provide administration support to the field operations team
