Electric Vehicle Technical Assurance Operative - South East
We're looking for customer-focused EV technical assurance operatives to mentor and assess the safety and quality of our smart charge point installations.
Who are we and what are we about?
Octopus Energy is a tech-led energy business, bringing fairer, greener energy to everyone, and leading the transition to a future powered by renewable sources rather than dirty power. We're famous for our globally leading, EV friendly ‘smart’ tariffs - Agile, Go, and Powerloop. These use our proprietary platform, Kraken, to lead the way towards a renewable energy future by taking the peak-time strain off the National Grid and enabling a unique consumer-led opportunity to transition to a flexible smart grid. Or, in other words, our tech works with smart meters and smart EV charge points to offer customers cheaper, greener power, when the wind blows and the sun shines.
Octopus Energy Services is a sister company building a field force of engineers and support staff to install smart meters and EV charge points. We work in conjunction with Octopus Electric Vehicles, installing bleeding-edge V2G technology which will form the backbone of renewable energy storage on our future smart grid. We can offer a unique end-to-end experience for our customer; from leasing an EV, through to a smart charge point and meter, all supplied with green electrons from our EV friendly smart tariffs. We pride ourselves on delivering on the doorstep, the same outrageous customer service that has seen Octopus Energy achieve 5-star Trust Pilot ratings and to be the only energy company to be recommended by Which? three years in a row.
We are looking for an 18th edition, time served, EV charge point installer to guide and mentor our new team, delivering the best possible EV charge point experience. You'll work closely with our existing team of technical assurance operatives, helping to develop our engineers and our product. You’ll be representing Octopus in customers’ homes - in many cases, you and the installer will be the first face-to-face contact the customer will have had with Octopus. Expectations are high. You’ll be just as happy talking to customers about the installation as you are about doing the installation itself. You’ll be on-site with installers making sure their work is on-point, offering constructive feedback and mentoring. You will support in demonstrating the new hardware and app to our customers and provide relevant energy efficiency and usage advice.
Why work with us?
As part of the Octopus Energy Services team, we’ll ensure you have the best of everything you need to deliver the top class service we’re aiming for. You’ll be supported by an office team who will share the same performance goals, so we’re always working as one team to deliver the best possible experience for the customer. You’ll also have the backing of Octopus Energy’s massive tech power - so we’ll be able to constantly evolve and shift processes to ensure we’re always delivering our best service. This should help to keep admin to a minimum, allowing you to focus on what you do best.
